Another small, impressionistic study of the fresh lemons on wooden table in my evening studio. I like the delicate warmish lighting of the spring evening sun. It´s the perfect light for the peaceful, intimate still life paintings, without high contrasts or strong highlights. I love the quiet atmosphere of this oil artwork.

The artwork is painted on 1/8″ inch hardboard with two layers of Old Holland white gesso primer.
I use Old Holland Classic oil paints and Old Holland cold pressed bleached linseed oil to increase fluidity of oil colors.
When the thickest areas of my painting are firm I varnish artwork with Gamvar Gloss Varnish, the original Gamvar formula.
