Another small, impressionistic study of the fresh lemons on wooden table in my evening studio. I like the delicate warmish lighting of the spring evening sun. It\u00b4s the perfect light for the peaceful, intimate still life paintings, without high contrasts or strong highlights. I love the quiet atmosphere of this oil artwork.<\/p>\n

The artwork is painted on 1\/8\u2033 inch hardboard with two layers of Old Holland white gesso primer.
\nI use Old Holland Classic oil paints and Old Holland cold pressed bleached linseed oil to increase fluidity of oil colors.
\nWhen the thickest areas of my painting are firm I varnish artwork with Gamvar Gloss Varnish, the original Gamvar formula.<\/p>\n
