Painted from life, “English Roses on Light Blue” is one of the artworks in my series of Floral Impressionist Oil Paintings.

The artwork is painted on 1/8″ inch hardboard with two layers of Old Holland white gesso primer.
I use Old Holland Classic oil paints and Old Holland cold pressed bleached linseed oil to increase fluidity of oil colors.
When the thickest areas of my painting are firm I varnish artwork with Gamvar Gloss Varnish, the original Gamvar formula.
